When does my GoMoWorld data plan start?

Your GoMoWorld data plan begins the moment you activate it in the app, which starts the countdown of your plan’s validity (e.g., 7 days, 30 days).

What this means for you:

  • You can purchase and install your eSIM ahead of time, even before your trip (you will need internet to do that).
  • You can also activate your plan while still at home to get everything ready in advance. This way you’ll be connected to the internet right when the plane lands.
  • The countdown won’t begin until you click on the start button to activate your plan, and data usage won't start until your device connects to a local network abroad.\

📱 Example:

If you purchase a 7-day data plan for Italy today but don’t travel until next week, you can install your eSIM now and activate the plan just before departure. The 7-day countdown starts from the moment of activation, and your data only begins being used once your phone connects to a local Italian network using the GoMoWorld eSIM.

Tip: Before you travel, make sure your GoMoWorld eSIM is correctly installed and that your device settings are ready—especially data roaming should be turned ON. This ensures a seamless connection upon arrival.

You can monitor your data usage, remaining validity period, and destination coverage anytime directly within the GoMoWorld app.
