Help/FAQ
Will my home operator charge me if I make calls or receive texts while using GoMoWorld?
When you’re abroad using GoMoWorld for data, your home SIM card is still responsible for calls and texts unless you take some simple precautions.
Depending on your mobile plan, your home operator might apply roaming fees for calls or SMS made or received outside your home country.
To avoid unexpected charges:
- Turn off roaming for your home SIM’s data in your phone settings (this won’t affect calls or texts).
- Rely on internet-based apps like WhatsApp, FaceTime, or Messenger for calls and messages — these use your GoMoWorld data and won’t incur roaming fees.\
- If you want to fully avoid charges, you can also put deactivate completely your home SIM, and stay connected only through GoMoWorld’s data (you won’t receive regular calls or texts anymore).
Our goal is to keep you connected while helping you avoid surprises on your bill!
